Renata studied in the Academy of Fine Art in Warsaw where she received her MA. During her time at the Academy she participated in one woman shows and group exhibitions, and her work went on for sale in galleries and to private collectors in Poland and Germany. She persued further studies in Barcelona at Escuela Massana, and this was followed by two years in Paris working as a textile designer.

During this time she exhibited in Ireland at the Wexford Festival Opera and Kilkenny Arts Week. In 2002 Renata decided to go back to full time painting, and to further develop her skill at painting on silk.

"In the beginning, I found it difficult to get back into painting exclusively," she admits. "After researching a wide range of innovative techniques, I had to take the plunge and see if the worked with the art buying public. That said, I have to admit that I learned a lot from textile design. These days I can't seem to get enough time to paint - I'm now seeing my paintings everywhere."
