Patrick was born in 1952 in Ireland of Italian parents. He has lived most of his life in Ireland with frequent visits to the land of his parents, the influence of which can be seen in much of his work.

As an artist he is mainly self taught, and paints almost exclusively in oils. His paintings reflect his fascination with colour and atmosphere; and he paints for the most part the familiar still life scenes from his home and his garden, and the landscapes of Italy and Ireland, and the region in north-west Italy from which his family originates. With his self taught style of impressionist painting he has exhibited in many one-man and group shows in Ireland, including the Royal Hibernian Academy Banquet Exhibition. He has works in public and private collections in Ireland, the UK, Italy, Belgium and Switzerland.
