| Isobel Henihan at the Waldock Art Gallery in Dublin, Ireland
Isobel graduated from UCD with a degree in French, Italian and History of Art. She then moved to Florence, Italy where she attended the Cecil School of Art. Following this, she studied Portraiture for two years at the Heatherley School of fine art in Chelsea, where she won the portraiture prize in her first year and was awarded a scholarship for her second year.
She says "I have now developed a fluid and spontaneous style that considers both the classical and modern movements in art. The landscape around Ireland inspires my work enormously .
Recently I have worked especially on marine landscapes around South County Dublin and Dublin Bay. I have focused mainly on Sandymount, Dalkey and Sandycove, finding the vast sky and seascapes fascinating as they change so dramatically with wind and tide. These elements shape our coastline and give it character. This is what I want to bring accross in my paintings".
Isobel has recently exhibited in three galleries in London, England, and is now exhibiting at the Waldock Gallery in Dublin, Ireland
